It was a balmy 6 degrees when I arrived at the shop this morning!
I know the Mountain is much colder than Brisbane (it's an hour away), but this is unheard-of coldness for August in our sub-tropical climate.
A good thing I had the foresight to buy these fab velvet warmers a while ago, I got 2 pairs and layered them, same as I did with the tights. Yes, I'm still into the whalenets!
A 60s silk dress ('It's a honey, it's a Hilton!' shouts the label) made the day easy. So damaged was it when bought, I left it languishing in the laundry for ten months before realising I'd lost enough weight to fit it, so now I just wear it regardless.
This little bodice panel can be ripped out in mere seconds, I love that it is attached with press studs...
...and gives great cleavage, if you let it!
Enjoy your weekend, gals! I'll be missing the last of the Olympics as I'll be at the shop all weekend (being 'helped' by VB) while Sue is off doing an antique fair at Tweed Heads (an hour south of the shop), her first-ever fair all by herself. I'll be back to normal blogging once the Olympics finish...but I must say, this BMX bike-riding business?? Are they sure about that?!
