My Latest Treats 'n' Treasures
I blame Vix, you know, it's up to here I've started liking the miserable children, now I can't get enough of them. Above, my latest Dallas Simpson, all the way from the U.K.
Continuing with the theme, retro print by Mojer, bought at Suitcase Rummage.
Also from Suitcase Rummage, this repro tin sign. I studies French for many years and have visited it twice, so I always love a reminder.
My most treasureful recent find, however, has to be this 1950s Deco style bookcase with rectangular bun feet.
It took a bit of fixing but now it's as good as gold, I now realise it doesn't fit books very well, but ah well, style is all that really matters, right?!
Tiny weeny shadow box, I've never seen this style before in such a small size, 'twas a gift from one of our regular suppliers who knows me too well, LOL.
And yet another gift, this fabulous black cat, now hanging by my hallway door. The cat itself is solid plaster, how cool is that!

New To The Shop This Week
Finel coffee percolator, designed in 1957 by Antti Nurmesniemi
60s patent leather shoes, new old stock in original box
A nude lady of a different kind, pink satin depression glass candle holder
1950s quilted shelf bust dress
Here's a close-up to whet your satorial appetite...but sorry we're keeping this one!
Retro manual typewriter, in perfect working order, complete with carry case, tipp-ex and instruction manual
Another hilarious piece of kitsch, I think I'm on a roll with the kitsch lately, it just keeps coming my way.
No prizes for guessing that this ashtray is my personal top pick of the week. Unfortunately I just sold it five minutes ago, but I couldn't resist showing it off anyway.
Of course there's lots more goodies on offer than I've shown here, including several larger sized 50s dresses, depression-era furniture, and some stunning Art Deco celluloid clocks, lamps and cases.

Well hell-ooooo prostis!!!!
We're finally done with the antique fair, phew! We've packed, repacked, unpacked, re-sorted the shop...and even had a day off.
So now life returns to normal until the next one :)
Our green display was decimated within the first hour!
Martini glasses and sparkles, what better to set the mood for some serious shopping.
Tons of little treasures to charm and inspire!

| Self-cut 40s fringe works wonders for styling, yay!! |
And no, I didn't wear this outfit at the fair, this fab 40s crepe suit was purchased on our recent buying trip and will be in the shop soon.
It has beautiful beading around the collar which is all intact, my 40s glass beads go so well with it I think.
And just what did she wear at the fair, I hear you ask??
Sue put this pic up on our Facebook page earlier, click the link to see her hilarious comment about the lemon-sucking looks on our faces.
I'm wearing the 40s crepe dress which is known as 'the poo', can you guess why??
Sue is wearing my blue suit, last seen here.
Here's a better pic of my new 40s hat, on its first outing.
I'll be catching up with all your doings in the next few days but I've been having trouble commenting on some blogs today; the post a comment box hasn't been showing up...please let me know if you've had this happen and what you did about it!

These Are A Few of My Favourite Things....
There are always so many gorgeous things on ebay, aren't there?!
It's probably a good thing that none of us are wealthy, or we may never be able to stop buying beautiful vintage treasures. And then we'd have to have houses the size of castles to fit it all in...but I digress!
Here are a few choice pieces I've had my eye on lately.
70s statement necklace.
I'm not usually one for old radios much but there's no way I'd turn this catalin beauty down!
You all know I'm partial to bangles!
22k gold and diamond snake bracelet, only $3500 (just in case any of you are rich!)
Deco decanter set, German, by Karl Palda
Deco Egyptian revival bakelite cigarette case
Beautiful platforms...which would have been mine if they'd have fit.
1936 Houze glass lamp
I don't know what I'd ever do with something like this...but I love it regardless! 1940s glass taxi roof sign, yes, actually from an old taxi.
50s standard lamp...*big sigh*
More stunning light fittings! I'm rather big on lighting lately, it seems.
Yellow catalin desk set.
Ok that's enough for now, give your keyboards time to recover from the drool splashes please!
