New to the Shop This Week

Folks, this week there's a truly stunning array of frocks!

Fortune has been shining on us lately, as we have been able to secure an enormous amount of vintage clothing and hats from private collectors.

There are plenty of coats (including several 1940s), 50s cashmere cardis, lots of beaded lace treasures and naturally many decades of dresses all in the shop now. Here are a few I've photographed so far.

50s nylon print dress with self belt & weighted cowl neck

Dollys got a new dress- unsurprisingly! She's so pushy, insisting on wearing only the best of the 50s just because she stands right at the front door. 50s gals get their own way, apparently.

She has good taste though, you have to hand it to her. This lovely 50s party frock has a fully stiffened skirt and little rhinestones throughout the dress itself (unfortunately they are not visible here). She's a party girl at heart!

50s fluffy bolero, this will go beautifully with circle skirts

Shell pink fine polished cotton dress with a perfect pleated skirt

Embroidery lovers will swoon over the delicate patterns on this one
Frilly lacy bed jacket

Fully lined floral 50s dress, in a very unusual light but textured fabric

Are we rocking the 80s??

I think SO!!!

Beautiful 50s silk taffeta wiggle dress with original self belt

Such pretty appliques all over

I love these 50s dresses that come with the original slip

This one has quite the 'shelf bust' effect when worn, so flattering

1940s wool coat

Cute sewn-in pocket detail...

And most rare of all, it's local!

Another stunning 40s wool coat, unusual in a light and cheery colour

What beauties! I love the yellow coat and the frilly bed jacket the most but the label on that black 1940's number is rather special. They'll fly out! x
PS The sheds? Believe it or not we were planning to do a boot sale and off load some of it today but it's peeing it down.

What gems amor, I love mostly all of them especially the blue and white one. The yellow40's wool coat is gorgeous. Do you ever find big Mama sizes for me? I just bought a sailor 80's dress for one of my necklaces and thought of your dresses. You should really open up an Etsy shop/Ebay.

I really like the 1940's coat, and the lacy bed jacket is really sweet too. Over here in England we've been really lucky with our weather over the past few years, but the portrayal of Britain always being cold and rainy is actually a misconception. We just have a variable weather system due to the different types of air mass that drift over the UK. xxx
