I've Been.....

I've been hiding from you rather a bit, haven't I?

Indeed I have, but I'm sure you'll understand, as it's our busiest month of the year, not only in the shop but outside of it too.

I have lots of new vintage pretties to show you, and plenty of tutorials in mind, but for today here are a few random day-to-day shots from the past couple of weeks.

Spending so much time in the van I'm getting drivers arm. Le sigh. Unavoidable.

Hair in rollers without makeup, and yes, this was in public, while setting up at the Brisbane Vintage Fashion Fair. Don't worry, my glamour astounds me too, but we all know it's for show later on so it's okay, right??

Yes, that IS a lineup of cars as far as you can see. 6.50am Sunday morning, I'm already an hour away from home, and for once in my life, am on time for the markets (selling today). Apparently everyone else is too :(

Sharing temporary custody of my niece. Note the matching coolie chairs and poses!

Wearing a fabulous 40s crepe dress that I never imagined I would fit in to. Joy! You'll see it soon.

A certain little someone turned 4.....

And didn't take her birthday-gift princess dress off for several days, lol! Ah well, they're not young for long and you never get that time back, I refuse to stifle her little personality and let her wear what she wants when she wants. Who knows what kind of fashionista she may turn out to be?

Having Desiree drive me back down the Mountain after the parade.

COMPLETELY FREAKIN' PRICELESS!

Not to mention, heaps of fun, I seriously nearly wet myself laughing a couple of times.

I've also written a big article on fashion and social history for The Lindy Charm School For Girls blog, which you can read here if you have a few spare minutes.

Blogging will hopefully be back to normal soon!

Happy birthday beautiful VB!!! With a wonderful mother like you, there's no way her personality will be stifled - she's one very lucky little girl:))). Oooooh I can't wait to see the crepe dress on you - isn't it just so incredibly exciting to be able to fit into something you completely adore? Holy feck the lurex with the bangles - amazing and I think the pic of no make up and curlers is the best ever - you are beautiful:)))). No I haven't got my fecking hot sticks yet - missed a set on eBay yesterday and now I'm completely obsessed and annoying in search of them. She'll be comin' round the mountain!! xoxoxoxoxoxo
