The Shop is Open!

I've lots more gratuitous and shamelessly pluggy shop pics for you!

A few long shots today, so you can see the whole place a lot better.

The retro room.

The deers' butt on the wall got a lot of comments!

The kitchen. Obviously.

As you may know our focus is 20s to 70s, the only real antique items we have are in the kitchen.
I love the old Cadburys sign!

Sue's fabulous bakelite cake stand has attracted much attention already, it was a real talking point at the party last night.

As you can see it's quite a big shop, this was taken standing in the kitchen looking to the front.

the Deco room.

Our beautiful china cabinet....which hardly has any china in it. Neither of us are interested in china so we only have a tiny amount in stock.

On to the party now, and don't fall over will you- it's actually an outfit shot!  I'm wearing a 60s Hawaii sateen wrap dress, I've been waiting to wear this for a while. I did a hair donut (which you can't see at all!), hair accessory courtesy of Sarah Misfit (thank you dear, it was fabulous!).
There was a great shot of me and Sue together, but she won't let me show it, boo!

Lots of people had fun trying stuff on..you may remember these glasses.

I forgot to take pictures of our fab food (thanks Di!). We chose a traditional 50s menu, with cocktail onions in oranges, prunes in bacon, pinwheel sandwiches, vol-au-vents, mashed potato in devon, stuffed celery and devilled eggs....all washed down with copious amounts of wine, of course.

Stars of the dressed-in-vintage show were of course the lovelies Erin and Ellie (below). Erin is not only a burlesque babe-in-training but an ace milliner too- click here to visit her website and see her gorgeous original styles.

Doesn't Ellie just fit perfectly into this room!

Erin in the stunning 50s plaid dress she bought..being a milliner of course she had to try on every hat in the shop too!
That's all for now my lovelies, now that the shop is open I can return to  regular blogging, yay!

See you tomorrow.xx.

Wow wow wow!! My dear, you just never walk into an antique shop out here in western USA and see all that jadeite!! You don't see the kind of Art Deco stuff you have, either. I don't know if that's more common there, but here it's a rarity!

I want that zebra skin! I want all the bakelite and half the jadite stuff lol.

Congrats, looks like an amazing shop and a fun party! Your work really paid off!

You look fabulous in that dress, and the whole shop looks amazing. Love the deco table and chairs, and the cake stand, and the cow print chair. Mashed potato in devon sounds hideous but I do like a bit of celery and cream cheese xx
