Hi. My name's Kitty and I'm a vintage a-holic. I don't just heart everything *nods politely over to Amber Von Felts* I a-holic everything.

Mid-century/50s, art deco, vintage jewellery, vintage fashion, early plastics, 60s stuff, 70s stuff, hats, platform shoes, anything enamelled....just don't ask me to deal with the 1980s. No. No way.

So I thought I'd make my first-ever post something of a response to the call put out by 'Miz Rancher' over at 1950s Atomic Ranch House

for people to show off their rooms/homes. As I can't quite do that at the moment, much as I'd like to, I can show you a few of my favourite bits and pieces. First up, an 'atomic display', for want of a better description. As you can see below, I've snuck it up on top of a bookcase.

Next is most most prized ring box. Very art deco in its styling, I was well squashed when it arrived in this worn condition. But I still love it. And its made in Occupied Japan, yay!

A very atomic napkin and toothpick holder. I found one of these recently in an antique centre and was overjoyed. then I found another 2 the following week. I always get things in 'runs'.

An Evans lighter, one of my favourite brands to collect. And it works.

Evans cigarette case. Love this enamelled stuff. This design is called 'golden crown'.

This little lucite beauty is like nothing I've ever seen. it moves like a stretchy bracelet, and the cigarettes are slotted in one by one.

Evans atomic table top cigarette box. Love the shape of the legs.

Oh my gosh, I've been looking for one of those atomic explosion dealies (what the heck are they called? lol)

And did you buy the case pictured in the last photo from eBay? because I had that very item in my watch list for a week or two, but it was just a tad high for me.

Wow, if it's the same one, glad to see it went to someone who appreciated it!

Keep adding to your blog, and I will feature it when folks have a few posts to read and photos to look at. So far I love it!

Thanks for sharing. =)

Thanks Rancher, you're a champ. That case was from US ebay but I only paid $10 plus postage. I saw one for a BIN of $100 not long before I found mine, but there's no way I'd pay that much!
