This is not a vintage dress I'm showing you today.
But it is one of my old favourites from the 90s, and I'm very excited to be able to show it to you....simply because I now fit into it again.
I didn't really 'announce it' here on the blog, (you know, in case it didn't work) but over the past few months I've been on a diet.
Yes it's such a little word, isn't it, but oh what power it has! Cruel, evil, and alcohol-and-chocolate free....serves me right for eating too much in the first place, eh?
While I do believe that the inside of a person is far more important than the outside, and I certainly don't dislike people based on their appearance, for me my weight has always had a HUGE bearing on my confidence and it matters a lot. Not to mention that I could hardly fit into any of my stock.
I'm not quite where I want to be yet, still a few kilos to go...I'm not sure if you can tell but I'm sucking in my stomach for all I'm worth in these pics!

And for my Favourite thing on a Friday, how gorgeous are these hand-beaten copper earrings?! They would match this dress so perfectly...sigh!

( BTW how lucky to retain your magnificent bosom throughout. When I diet the fat immediately goes from there whilst sticking stubbornly in my thighs...)

Congratulations! I'd love to hear a few tips about self-control, I can feel myself putting on a few and am on the verge of not being able to put on my favourite pieces anymore, but even so I can't seem to put down the chocolate and macarons! Help!

I've been on a health kick and since March 22nd this year have lost 24lbs (it was 28 but I went on holiday and the wheels fell off my diet wagon a bit!)
