Aladdins Vintage Fair...And Yes It Really Is!!!

Aladdins by name, Aladdins by nature.

This well-established and well-patronised little-but-big vintage fair held four times a year in Brisbane just gets better every time!!

Here are a few lush pics I took just before opening....

There is a plethora of goods on offer at this particular fair, truly something for everyone, from toys, china, glassware, crustic, retro, kitsch, jewellery...the list goes on!

With around 85 stallholders this fair is always booked well in advance, and the lineup to get in is usually 300-strong before opening time.

There's a range of prices to be found, some stuff is basically retail price but there are a ton of bargains too. For example, I found a huge bag of loose rhinestones for jewellery repair for just $3, YAY.

The few pics below are just for Trudie...yes, there were lots of vintage childrens goodies on offer.

Crustic, rustic, enamel and earthen ware....

And honestly the amount of doll houses, toy boxes and dolls boggled the mind!

And we had a stall too!

Which was tailored specially for the customer base, made up of the plus-60 age group, LOL!! Unsurprisingly, our bagged-up yarn sold out within the first hour which was great, but I do wish that more younger people knew about this fair and came along as there are always so many surprising retro bargains to be found here.

So what did I buy, you ask?

Just this pair of mint-condition kitsch prints, for the princely sum of $12, that's 8 pounds if you're in the UK.

Yes, I was *very* restrained. Reasons for that will be explained soon...they are big!!!!

I bet the oldsters were in their element, picking everything up and telling you how they used to have one exactly the same!
That doll family in the bag inside that craft store, I've still got them. x

Holy Heck! I so wish I could have went to that. It looks like it was insanely AWESOME.
I seen so much stuff I would have wanted to buy and not had the money for. *lol*

Three bucks for a bag of rhinestones is too good to be true. Yay!! What a fun day it would have been wandering around there.
