Frock on Friday

Ok so I'm early! I know it's not Friday yet!

I won't have time or energy to post tomorrow, so here it is, another 50s dress I've been hiding from you :)

Sue and I have a rather exciting road trip planned tomorrow, and for once we both get to go- yay!

We're off down to NSW to an old farmhouse to buy some stock for the shop. One never knows what's in store with this kind of thing, it's always something of a gamble, we figure at worst we'll have a nice day out with a bit of shopping thrown in.

It's a big weekend we have planned too, with the usual round of fixing/cleaning/painting/pricing, some vintage hats to buy and some truly fabulous Art Deco chairs to pick up.

Who knows what treasures we'll have to show you next week- I certainly don't!

The colours and cut of that dress are so fabulous on you and your waist gets tinier by the week.
Good luck with the trip, can't wait to see what you and Sue find. x

Yet another stunning starlet look Kitty, you look amazing!
As you probably already know I've got a BIG LOVE for 50s dresses & some of my most prized frocks hail from that very era. I like the girly cuts, nipped waists (not too frigging nipped mind you) & the frothy twirly skirts...you just can't go wrong with a 50s dress in my opinion & the prints were fabulous too. I wish you all the luck on you roadtrip, may you find some spectacular goodies for much cheapness (I'll keep my fingers crossed).
Lot's of love,
Jennie

Oh, you are just too flirty for words! You always look so good in vintage stuff, darn you. Have fun on your trip--I'll be doing some of that in a couple weeks when I travel north for the Fenton Glass convention. In answer to your question about the fabulous necklace on my blog, yes, it will be for sale after I've had a chance to make everyone here drool over it. Don't know what the price will be, though, but will let you know when I decide.

Dear Kitty, you look fabulous. I love your dress. Is your waist shrinking? I didn't last with my diet because I kept getting taken out. We rescheduled our holiday because of my aunt dying so we are going on 1st September now. I started another diet today. I'm always leaving everything to the last minute! xx
