These babies are all going to the shop....as if you wouldn't guess that already!
Sue picked up this fabulous table just recently. Lucky it wasn't me who found it, or it wouldn't be going anywhere!
As you can see, the serving plates all swing around, and the colours are classic 50s.
Stylish green bakelite clock, by the English maker Smiths.
Bakelite machine age lamp and in-tray. All our lamps and clocks have been electrically tested and are guaranteed to be in working order.
Cadbury Bourn-Vita bakelite lidded mug. These are now highly collectable, they appeal to those interested in collecting promotional & advertising items, as well as bakelite and kitchenalia collectables.
'Rocket' bakelite salt and pepper set, these were produced in a variety of colours and unscrew around the middle.
Bakelite hot water bottle, and yes, it works perfectly. This would date to the 1930s or 40s and is in brilliant condition.

What crazy things! I'm lusting after that Smith's clock, I've got a few but none in glorious green bakelite. xxx
Gee!! And here I have virtually NO Bakelite!
Don't you love the smell of it? I do. Except when I was a kid and most electrical plugs were made out if it, and you smelled it burning because you had too many amps plugged into the wall socket lol
What fabulous things, I LOVE the cake stand, stupendous!
Super collection...I always enjoy your finds
Lovely! Do these all make their way over to your etsy shop, or is that one reserved for clothing and sewing patterns?
Emmi, all these items are for my B&M shop only, which we're opening on Feb 18 at Mt Tamborine. I only put a few fashion items in my etsy shop.
Wow i get so excited reading your posts you buy and show the most amazing items of history and many things that i know i will never see in the flesh so to speak. That table at the start goodness what a work of art in it self and the pastel colours are so pretty. I would love to have your job ;-)) Have a lovely weekend and good luck with the sales. Dee x
These are all amazing! Why can't I ever find things like this when I'm out hunting? My favorite, I think, is the Cadbury mug with the sly smile...
Susan, remember that vintage is a full-time job for both Sue & me. We hunt VERY hard to find what we do.
That lidded mug has BLOWN my MIND. The beret-ness of his lid! The little red pom pom! The sleek, modern sculpture face! Just wow. Bakelite for the worrrrrrllllldddd....!! :)
