I've just done a vintage hat care tutorial for you all, BUT I've done it as a 'page' in the sidebar rather than as a normal post. This way it'll be easier to find later on if you want to refer back to it.
Click here to read it..go on!
Re; the black dress in my last post, it's 50s...Vix was the only one who picked it.

Nobody wears hats in Spain, no idea why???

Hooray! It's a bloody gorgeous frock on you.
Sons Of Anarchy is a series about the lives of a chapter of Hell's Angels in California. The lead bloke, Jax Teller, is sex-on-legs, worth it just to ogle him. It's violent and compelling stuff, apparently the most successful US TV series ever on the FX channel.
Off to learn about hats! Loads of love. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

105F/40.5C right now and the idea of a hat and steam just makes me want to melt even more lol. Great tutorial, I wish I had hats!
You also get a nice steam facial at the same time I guess ha ha. Can you add the bakelite turtorial to the side bar too I told someone about it recently and it would make it easy for them to find xx Katherine
Kitty,
that hat looks brand new, you did wonderous work. I used watch some hat man do this to my dad's cowboys hats and was always amazed at how the hat looked spankin new.
What a wonderful tutorial, the hat was certainly worth restoring - such a beauty!! The magic of steam is glorious isn't it? I've seen squashed velvet flowers literally bloom in front of my eyes and isn't it amazing how veiling can be restored? Thank you so much for sharing this - I would pay squillions for that hat now! xoxo
Thanks for the tutorial! Now I feel silly for leaving so many lovely-but-crumpled hats behind. Never again!
You looked an absolute goddess in that dress and I loved how you accessorized it! Xoxoxox Claire
