Tell Me About YOU

Tell me about yourself!

I've gained a few new followers lately (welcome!), and there's quite a few people who've been followers for a while but never commented. I'd like to get to know you all.

Do you have your own blog? What part does blogging play in your life?

Why do you prefer vintage to new? What do you collect, and why?

And lastly, what would you like to see more or less of on this blog?

I love all things vintage so most of the blogs I follow have that kind of subject matter. I love to see outfit posts and wonderful items people have bought for pennies.

Very much enjoying reading yours.

Hi, I'm Erin!

I two blogs, everybranch.blogspot.com, which is a milspouse blog that also follows my entry in the AF reserve. I also have a makeup blog, madeupinamerica.blogspot.com that gets neglected too often.

I follow a lot of vintage/rockabilly blogs because I used to be in the scene for a long time when I was younger. As for whether I prefer vintage to new, it depends on the item.

I collect HeyWake Rio, 50's Asian kitsch, Vernonware Heavenly Days, Franciscan Autumn, turquoise/pink/yellow kitchenware, sweetheart items from WWII, vintage western wear, sewing patterns, and other random goodies.

I'm new here, so whatever you want to put out, I'll read! :)

I only have one blog (Vintage Coconut.)
I like to blog about my vintage finds and all stuff I adore because if I didn't talk about some of this stuff with my followers, I swear my family would fall over with boredom of me blabbing on and on and on.
They are not crazy over vintage like I am.

I prefer vintage because it seems like everything that comes out nowadays is all the same and usually rather boring.
I love 50's and 60's stuff.. and also LOVE the bright colors and designs of the 70's fashion.

Where I reside we do not even have 1 vintage store. So everything I come across is found at second hand shops.

I love vintage handbags, jewellery, home decor & furniture.. pretty much any vintage I can actually find in this town and get my hands on.

I think your blog is just fine the way it is. Keep on doing what you have been doing because its working for you.

=)

Hi, I am a fairly new follower too. Yes, I have a blog, about vintage, and my life becoming more vintage, including fashion, make up..anything that takes my fancy really. And afternoon tea, which there is much of. Blogging started off just as a sort of, let's see where this takes me, but I've met lots of lovely people, and my confidence has grown too. I really enjoy it. x

Ranchie- I don't think you're a blabbermouth at all, quite the opposite!

Mo- Hi and welcome. I can't see you as a follower so I'd never have found your blog if you hadn't commented. Your blog is fascinating to me and I'm following you now.

Vix- Yes, we know you never shut up but that's one of the things we love best about you, LOL. Great minds think alike, I have a big series of tutorials/know-how posts planned for March/April.

Dee- You're such a sweetie. I found another box of vintage patterns yesterday and will gift some of them to you. I think you need some cheering up.

Erin- what cool stuff you collect! An eclectic array indeed. I'll follow you too.

Christina- Yours is one of my favourite blogs. BTW the fear and the not-feeling-ready never goes away so it's best not to let those things put you off. Email me anytime :)

Little Coconut- (I like to give my blog buddies nicknames)- LOL! I bore my family rigid talking about vintage too. I'm constantly seeing their eyes glaze over. And I agree that everything in modern shops is samey-same.

Lady Cherry- Hi! Thanks for commenting. Lots of afternoon tea sounds like me too, as long as there's champagne involved, he he. Will go check out your blog now.
