Frock On 2012

 

Yes, do...please. Because I've had enough of 2011 :)

Some long-held ambitions have come to fruition, such as opening a shop with Sue, having my own house again, and being self-sufficient.

Lots of lovely bloggers have been met, both virtually and in person, like-minded vintage obsessives both customers, co-sellers & friends have been bonded with, fairs and buying trips have been done and dusted.

 

And I lost weight this year! Definitely a highlight :) Being able to fit into a fair amount of our stock for the first time since becoming a vintage seller several years ago still thrills me.

 

Oh, and did I mention how much fabulous vintage stuff we found and bought?

Do you love this hand-printed 40s silk lounging suit...or do you love it?!

It's one of the totally fab outfits we bought a couple of weeks ago, I've been dying to show it to you. It won't be for sale, it's going into Sues' and my joint personal collection. We do have rather a special plan for said collection (which is practically growing by the minute!), but it has to remain secret for the time being.

 

2012 promises to be an even bigger year for me, and for us.

We'll have a far better idea of what to expect business-wise, and thanks to 2011, can plan accordingly in 2012. Trust me when I say that literally crying with exhaustion, which Sue and I have both experienced this year, is no fun whatsoever.

We have plans for expansion (exciting plans!) for 2012 and beyond, only time and hard work can make them happen but so far we are on track. All will be revealed when the time comes...I can't wait!

I know that many of you reading this have had some hard times and big upsets in 2011.....does it feel like Mercury has been in retrograde all year, or am I imagining things?

I sincerely hope all is on the up next year, for all of us, in all ways.
