Frock on Friday

 


I'm really getting into this Frock on Friday gig!
 


Today I used FOF as an excuse to wear this fab vintage dress to do the grocery shopping. It didn't get as many looks as furs and fancy hats do, but it certainly turned a few (pyjama-clad) heads in the supermarket.
Don't ask where my neck has gone- I don't know
I thrifted this dress a couple of years ago, no, not cheaply (thrifts/op shops are pretty expensive here), but I'm glad I did, it's light, comfortable and easy-fitting.

I even wore some jewellery today too- good grief! I blame Vix, of course, she's slowly but surely turning me into a jewellery person. I've never been much of a jewellery fan but I guess I'm changing my ways. The shell 'necklace' is actually a bracelet in disguise.

    I don't know what you paid for that dress but it was worth absolutely every penny. God, I love it and it looks so good on you. Love the shoes, glad you're getting into jewellery, by the end of the year we won't see your wrists for rattly bangles. xxx

    Waaa, fabulous. I wish I saw someone as fabulous at my local shops! I have a similar pleated kaftan style dress in bold geometric shapes. I tried to wear it in a Brisbane summer to glam up a drink around the pool and almost died with the heat and sweat.

    That really looks great on you! I don't normally go for 60s-70s looks, but that dress and some of Vix and Helga's wardrobe is making me reconsider! :)
